The 8012G, which is manufactured by Elma, is a 4-port, asynchronous serial communications embedded board. It offers 16 16550-based UARTs by utilizing a RS422 or a RS485-type signaling. Each of its 4 ports offer two differential pairs of RS485 information. The PLD between UART and RS485 enables a variety of interfaces.
